Dental crowns restore the function and aesthetic of teeth that have undergone decay beyond what can be corrected by a restoration. Our doctors can determine if a dental crown is needed, and begin the process of restoring your smile.
During your visit, the doctor will perform a thorough evaluation of your teeth to determine if a dental crown is needed. Treatment begins with local anesthetic to ensure comfort, and the removal of the damaged tissue. The tooth is also cleaned and reshaped to ensure proper fit of the crown in your smile and bite. Measurements and color are then determined and instructions are send to a milling service to produce the crown.
Once the tooth has been fabricated, we will schedule you to come back in for placement. We will position the crown in it’s respective place to ensure size and color match the surrounding teeth. If no modifications are needed, we will secure your crown in place. Crowns can also be applied to correct cosmetic imperfections such as staining, chips, or cracks. We will take the time to listen to your needs, and help give you your best possible smile.
